Die Dokumentation der im Rahmen des Projekts „Netzwerk Grundqualifikationen“ durchgeführten Zukunftswerkstatt beschreibt die einzelnen Phasen und Arbeitsschritte sowie neu entwickelte Projektideen. Das Frontier-College wurde 1899 in Kanada von dem presbytanischen Pfarrer Alfred Fitzpatrick begründet. Das Ziel war es, aus den Immigranten und anderen benachteiligten Gruppen mit schlechten Sprachkenntnissen in den abgelegenen Arbeitsorten gute Kanadier zu machen. Es setze auf das Konzept des Arbeiter-Lehrers.
