In den Bereichen Wohnen und Arbeit gibt es für Menschen mit Unterstützungsbedarf regelhafte Angebotsstrukturen für Assistenz. Für Angebote der allgemeinen und politischen Erwachsenenbildung ist dies nicht der Regelfall, und vielfach bleiben diese Angebote ohne Assistenz unzugänglich. Der Autor und die Autorin zeigen auf, was Assistenz im Bildungsbereich beinhaltet und wie die Aufgaben und Organisationsmodelle von Assistenz in der Erwachsenenbildung aussehen.
Courses of scientific continuing education are diverse and heterogeneous. This impedes their comparability and their connectivity to existing qualification frameworks. This article provides a proposal for a systemization, which has been implemented in Baden-Württemberg, and shows possible connections to the German qualification framework (DQR).

Das Thema Ökonomische (Grund-)Bildung hat in den letzten Jahren zunehmend Auftrieb erhalten und ist auch in der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung angekommen: Mit der Integration ökonomischer Bildung in Literacy-Diskurse ist sie weiterbildungspolitisch in den Erwartungshorizont an öffentliche Daseinsvorsorge eingezogen. Das Heft führt in die Debatte um ökonomische Erwachsenenbildung ein und gibt einen Überblick über bereits bestehende Praxis in diesem Bereich.
The article presents the European development of new learning centres as well as educational and cultural centres, in which adult education institutions and libraries continue to merge. The author depicts three examples of these new institutions, which are increasingly becoming an element of educational urban development.
Der Anwendungsleitfaden wurde im Rahmen des Bundesprogramms „Lernen vor Ort“ in Zusammenarbeit mit den teilnehmenden Kommunen kontinuierlich überarbeitet und dient als Transferprodukt und Orientierungsrahmen zum Aufbau eines kommunalen Bildungsmonitorings in Landkreisen und kreisfreien Städten. Weitere Überarbeitungen durch kommunale Rückmeldungen und aktuelle bildungspolitische Entwicklungen sind angestrebt.
Differentiating ageing and old age it is argued that a separate life stage “old age” is to be understood as a social construction. Ageing must not be conceptualized as a uniform and unidirectional process. Instead, physiological-biological, psychological, and social ageing are somehow independent processes following different developmental curves.
