Im Rahmen der Digitalstrategie der Ampelkoalition hat jedes Ressort der Bundesregierung ein sogenanntes Leuchtturmprojekt beigesteuert, das bis 2025 umgesetzt sein soll. Darunter sind zwei Vorhaben mit Weiterbildungsbezug: Der Autor und die Autorin erläutern Ziele, Funktionen und Perspektiven von »Mein Bildungsraum« (BMBF) und »mein NOW« (Nationales Onlineportal für berufliche Weiterbildung, BMAS ), die als Infrastrukturen in die Zuständigkeit des Bundes fallen.
Im vergangenen Jahr hat der »Expert*innenkreis Weiterbildung« der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung ein Konzept für eine Governance-Struktur der beruflichen Weiterbildung entwickelt, die eine wirkungsvolle und transparente Steuerung des Weiterbildungsbereichs verspricht. Die Autorin stellt hier die Grundzüge der geforderten Governance-Struktur vor.
Die zentralen Ergebnisse des Projektes „Transparenz und Akzeptanz berufsrelevanter Kompetenzen“ (TAK), das von vier Praxiseinrichtungen durchgeführt und vom DIE wissenschaftlich begleitet wurde, werden in Form von Thesen vorgestellt und erläutert. Im Projektverlauf hat sich gezeigt, dass eine Zertifizierung informellen Lernens sowohl bei Unternehmen als auch bei Individuen auf eine relativ geringe Akzeptanz stößt, wenngleich man nach Branchen und Betriebsgröße näher differenzieren muss. The "Red Series" provides quick access and initial orientation regarding the characteristics and features of continuing education in the individual countries. The volumes combine country-specific data and information on a scientific basis. A comprehensive service section facilitates further enquiries. On this base, continuing educators from research, practice and administration are able to prepare coopertion activities.
Die Entwürfe der Weiterbildungsrepublik konzentrieren sich stark auf die berufliche und betriebliche Weiterbildung. Doch auch für die allgemeine und die politische Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung gibt es vielfältige Initiativen und Förderprogramme auf Bundesebene, die zu einer Weiterbildungsrepublik gezählt werden können.
