Neu starten, Routinen aufbrechen, das Alte hinter sich lassen – für viele eine sehnsuchtsvolle Vorstellung. Gleichzeitig wandelt sich die Welt so beharrlich, dass auch Routine und Kontinuität erstrebenswert scheinen. In der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung findet sich beides: Erneuerung und Bewahrung. Der Neustart von weiter bilden lässt uns auf das Wechselspiel von Kontinuität und Wandel schauen.
Die Fachtagung "Weiterbildungsanbieter im Fokus und der Beitrag des wbmonitor" wurde am 26. Februar 2008 als Abschlusstagung des Projekts "Weiterbildungskataster" durchgeführt.
Das BMBF-geförderte und von DIE, BIBB und IES durchgeführte Projekt „Weiterbildungskataster“ hat endlich Klarheit über die Anzahl der in Deutschland existierenden Weiterbildungseinrichtungen geschaffen und ermittelte 16.841 verbürgte Weiterbildungsanbieter. In den DIE FAKTEN erläutern die Autoren darüber hinaus die wichtigsten Erkenntnisse und Zahlen zu Angebotsspektrum, Trägern, Größe der Einrichtungen sowie die Anbieterdichte in den einzelnen Bundesländern.
Parent and child programmes are the most frequently offered programmes in family education. The intergenerational experiment of education and lifelong learning has proven its worth in adult and family education and may be regarded as a counter weight to the »expertisation« during the early childhood.
In consideration of the omnipresent commitment to the significance of lifelong learning, the article analyses the role of continuing education within public education funding. After the federal elections, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research has taken on a new organisational structure. For the first time, its activities in further education are now bundled together in a seperate department (»Lifelong Learning, Further Education«), thus enabling the ministry to »speak with one voice«. On top of this, the superior department is »University, Further Education«, which shows that the two are considered as equivalent from the organisationalpolitical viewpoint.
