Dargestellt wird die Begleitforschung zum Projekt: "Regionale Tätigkeits-und Lernagenturen - Intermediäre Leistungen und Funktionen zur Gestaltung zukunftsfähiger Lernkultur". Der Beitrag dokumentiert die Herangehensweise sowie die theoretischen Grundlagen bei der wissenschaftlichen Begleitung von fünf Teams von Intermediären in ostdeutschen Regionen durch eine Forschungsgruppe am Lehrstuhl für Erwachsenenbildung an der Universität Leipzig.
Programmes for persons who are not acquainted with learning can only be successful if teaching and learning is understood as a dialogical process between trainer and participant. One of the major abilities participants should achieve during this process is to take over the responsibility for their own learning. The author describes tools developed in her own practical work: a set of questions designed as a framework for the negotiation of the individual learning project.

Peter Faulstich und Hans Josef Tymister setzen sich in dem Vorwort zu ihrem 2002 erschienenen Buch „Lernfälle Erwachsener“ mit den Mythen vom Lernen Erwachsener auseinander und benennen die Probleme, die hinter den sog. „Instruktionsprinzipien“ stehen.
