Der Autor berichtet über ein von der EU gefördertes Projekt zum Thema Jugendarbeitslosigkeit, das unter internationaler Beteilung von sechs Länder durchgeführt wird. Kernfrage ist, welche Kompetenzen bei Jugendlichen gefördert werden und welche Bedürfnisstrukturen junge arbeitlose Erwachsene haben.

The Grundtvig project European Intercultural Competence Programmes (EICP) conducted at the DIE tests further education measures for administrative bodies that involve intercultural competence, not just as far as staff development is concerned, but also in terms of organisation development. The concept is based on the idea of civilian dialogue and addresses heads of administration as well as representatives of migrants’ organisations.

This article examines the surplus value of CiLL as an accompanying study to PIAAC. Consequently, CiLL does not only point out the significance of acquiring competences for senior citizens but also provides a differential outlook on that phase of life.
