Provider statistics supply primary data on the heterogeneous field of continuing education and provide individual information and evaluation service. Annually, it presents current information on institutional characteristics, staff and finances as well as the scope of events and participants.

DIE Provider Statistics

Statistics on Adult Education Centres provide comprehensive data in time series since 1962.

Cooperating networks publish data on a central common feature in Statistics on Continuing Education Network.

Based on a cross-provider survey, alphamonitor covers information on providers and programmes in the field of literacy and basic education.

Services

In addition to the statistics, we provide an individual Information and Evaluation Service. The overview of Statistics on Continuing Education Online offer research references to additional statistical data.

Registration sheets of four providers of organised continuing education are fully revised as part of a DIE project. The recording of changes in the provider's range of programmes as well as the inclusion of current poltical challenges in reviewing the registration sheets are key questions. The DIE participates in the annual surveying of providers of continuing vocational education and training (wbmonitor), conducted by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). All nationally relevant providers of continuing education are questioned, structural data is evaluated and results are published.

Data on programmes, participants, funding and staff is also available for distance learning.

The DIE contributes to the Reporting System on Continuing Education and Training and the Adult Education Survey.

The DIE Trend Analysis provides a comprehensive empirical evaluation of data collected during the last decade. Developments and trends in participation, participation fields, programmes, staff, institutions and finances are presented and interpreted.
